MKA USA Response to the Oklahoma Tragedy

The leaders and membership of Majlis-Khuddamul Ahmadiyya USA, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization, maintain solidarity with the people of Oklahoma and Texas. We too acknowledge the pain of families in Moore and Newcastle Oklahoma as well as all the areas affected. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and we are supportive of them in their long journey to recovery. As believing youth, we recognize that there are many questions that come up when loss of life, property and peace of mind occur. In spite of these challenges as brothers, friends and neighbors, we support the devastated communities that are affected. We pray for their recovery and their overcoming of all challenges. We all belong to God, and should He call us back may He give strength to the loved ones we leave behind. As a youth auxiliary pledging service to our nation and countrymen, we are merging with Humanity First in providing volunteers to affected families.

Fact of the Day

If all Qur'ans in the world today were burned and destroyed, the original Arabic would still remain. This is because millions of Muslims, called Hafiz (or "preservers") have memorized the text letter for letter from beginning to end, every word and syllable. Also, chapters from the Qur'an are precisely recited from memory by every Muslim in each of the five daily prayers.

He has won numerous awards, including leadership awards, has maintained perfect attendance and has consistently been an honor roll student. Zain is regularly at the Masjid and an active member of Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya. He has won several awards at the ijtema in Qur’anic recitation Qur’anic memorization and speech.  In his free time, Zain enjoys tennis and basketball and when he is not running around, he spends his time reading.  Zain is a hard working individual who dreams of becoming an orthopedic surgeon with the desire to serve the Jamaat. When asked what advice he would give to others, Zain simply said “never give up.” May Allah enable him to achieve his goals, InshAllah. Ameen.
