Fazl-e-Umar Conference Day 1
Youth leaders from 60 plus chapters across the nation convened for two days (Nov. 10-11) at the new Virginia Mubarak Mosque to gain a new perspective and vision of Majlis e Khudaam ul Ahmadiyya USA for the year 2012-2013.
The program began with tilwat of the Holy Quran by Ahmed Khan (Mohtamim Ishaat) from Oshkosh. The Mohtamimeen were then given a few hours to explain their department plans for the new year in detail to newly elected Qaideen.

After the first session of the department plans was over a surprise visit by three former Sadraan was enjoyed by everyone. Previous Sadr Rizwan Alladin sahib and former Sadraan Dr. Faheem Younus sahib and Shakoor Ahmad sahib were given several minutes to speak to the Qaideen and Mohtamimeen. Their impression of how Majlis e Khudaam ul Ahmadiyya USA has progressed over the years because of the helping hand of Allah tala and the good works of each Sadr touched every heart that was listening. May Allah bless their sacrifice and their family's sacrifice. Ameen!
The second session of the department plans began with MASQ Chairman Qasim Rashid sahib of Richmond's heart rendering presentation of how the world views Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw). It was rather disgusting and apalling to know that when you type "Muhammad is" + space in Google you get all the filth that people say about the beloved Holy Prophet (saw) and similarly for "Mirza Ghulam Ahmad is" + space or "Ahmadiyyat is" + space too. The lesson we all learned from this wake up call was that we must all participate to defend Islam through the pen. Thank you and Jazakallah to Qasim bhai for elucidating it so eloquently.
After Maghrib and Ishaa prayers a very inspirational narrative was given by Zeshan Hamid (Muavin Sadr MKA USA) from Long Island New York about the hard work that was done by the khudaam from New Jersey, New England, and NY Metro regions in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The silence was deafning and the whole room was closely listening in to every word that Mauvin sadr sahib was relating to them about the ups and downs of the whole tragedy. The khudaam who helped out in the aftermath of Sandy were working through Humanity First and were literally going around town feeding hot food to thousands of disaster stricken people. They were also cleaning and fixing up Ahmadi homes that were damaged due to the disaster. Their selfless act was catching on and people throughout the disaster stricken New York area were requesting their assistance. Mauvin Sadr Sahib said that it was only through the barkat of Ahmadiyyat and the blessings of Hazrat Messih Maud's (as) langar khana that everything happened the way it did. At one point Mauvin Sadr sahib said that they went to a firehouse that needed some assistance and the people at the firehouse were shocked at how quickly the khudaam had acted in the way they were helping people. In their own words they said, "you people are no joke. who are you?"
Right afterwards and to all of our amazment Qaid sahib Ibrahim Chadhry from C. Virginia had a barbeque already arranged and ready to eat. Only one word described the barbeque and that was "delicious." The weather outside was rather chilly durning the evening hours but there were no worries because there was a nice hot bonfire that warmed everyone's shivering bodies while they were huddled around it.
After Dinner another session ensued afterwards where things were mixed up a little bit. Their was a very entertaining, animated and emotional presentation by Rabbani sahib from Dallas majlis on the prospect of Cricket in Jamaat and how it has been valued over the years. Rabbani sahib discussed Team America's visit to London to play in the International Masroor Cricket Tournement. He made an urgent plea for new people to try out and play cricket for Team America in the future. However he made it very clear in his presentation that the purpose was not to just play cricket but to go and make his Holiness (aba) happy. The presentation ended with a short trailer made by Rabbani sahib himself for the next international cricket event.
Nothing can better end a day then to have a session of pure levity otherwise known as jokes/funny stories. People laughed both at english and punjabi jokes. Every joke had a good punch line and each teller delivered it gracefully.
Fazl-e-Umar Conference Day 2
The second day began with a national amila meeting early in the morning. Subsequently all Qaideen convened again for Q/A and an interactive workshop. The workshop allowed Qaideen to explore different scenarios that they might face in their daily lives. It gave them the opportunity to make choices for different scenarios that they might encounter. Next, Qaid Cinncinati Tuyyab Rashid sahib related all of the favorite quotes of the FQC conference. There were funny ones and then there memorable ones. Local Missionary Yayah sahib afterwards gave some inspirational and spiritual words of advice to all Khudaam. Finally Sadr Bilal Rana sahib gave the closing remarks. The conference ended with slient prayers.
The last thing that everyone partook was a great group photo. May Allah bless Majlis-e-Khudaam ul Ahmadiyya USA and those who serve it. Ameen!
