Fact of the Day

Most Arab Jews and Arab Christians refer to God as "Allah". And the word Allah in Arabic appears on the walls of many Arab churches.
WCJPic“The primary purpose of this Convention is to enable every sincere individual to personally experience religious benefits; They may enhance their knowledge and –due to their being blessed and enabled by Allah, The Exalted- their perception [ of Allah ] may progress. Among its secondary benefits is that this congregational meeting together will promote mutual introduction among all brothers, and it will strengthen the fraternal ties within this Community.”

It is a long standing tradition within our Ahmadiyya Muslim Community since the time of the Promised Messiah (as) that our conventions hold a special place to bring our spirituality back in check. They remind us of our greater duty, and that is to Allah tala. The West Coast Jalsa 2012 that was held in Chino, California at the beautifully majestic Bait-ul-Hameed mosque this year brought about this same spiritual vigor to us once again. The prayers of the Promised Messiah (as) are accepted for all those who participate and watch the proceedings of the Jalsa Salana. Allah tala blesses their efforts in many ways.

This year the West Coast Jalsa brought in a myriad of Khudaam speakers who spoke at great length on many educationally and spiritually motivating topics. Our beloved Sadr MKA USA Sadr Bilal Rana sahib spoke on the topic of "Embracing our Ahmadi Muslim Identity," and it brought it home to every Khadim who faces this challenge every day on the job, school, and in the social arena. He began with a very beautiful analogy using the following verse from the Holy Quran, "And the two seas are not alike: this one palatable, sweet and pleasant to drink, and the other, salt and bitter. (35:13)" and how it releates to our (jamaat) conditions while living in the west. He highlighted the explanation that Hazrat Khalifatul Messih (II)(ra) gave about the true and false religion being represented by the two bodies of water in the aforementioned verse from the Holy Qur'an. He goes on to further state that by the explanation of the Holy Qur'an about the two bodies of water implies that they mix together but they retain their original identity without changing it in anyway.

This speech and among many others spoke at great length about possible solutions to our daily spiritual challenges and how we can apply them. If you are Khadim or an Atfal who has not watched these please go and do so. You will not go wrong inshallah.
