What do you think of when you hear the word Florida, hurricanes, palm trees, disney world, or alligators? How about a Tarbiyyati camp? Well by the grace of Allah a group of about 25 boys and two Murabiyyaan teachers - Imam Adnan Bhalli and Imam Yahya Luqman - gathered together this past December to hold a very successful Tarbiyyati camp. Among many things, the students participated in a field trip to the Everglades (holding real live alligators), wrote letters to Hazur (aba), held a four course class daily regiment, lead salat and dars, and participated in numerous sports. There was even a video challenge that was given out to the students which was part of a week long IT project where students chose their own topic, researched and then prepared a video for presentation. The video that won this auspicious competition was called, "Islam and Evolution." The other videos included topics "Islam's View on Gun Control," "Islam and the Treatment of Prisoners," and "Quranic Propheices fulfilled."Watch Video Islam and Evolution
