MKA USA Response to the Oklahoma Tragedy

The leaders and membership of Majlis-Khuddamul Ahmadiyya USA, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization, maintain solidarity with the people of Oklahoma and Texas. We too acknowledge the pain of families in Moore and Newcastle Oklahoma as well as all the areas affected. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and we are supportive of them in their long journey to recovery. As believing youth, we recognize that there are many questions that come up when loss of life, property and peace of mind occur. In spite of these challenges as brothers, friends and neighbors, we support the devastated communities that are affected. We pray for their recovery and their overcoming of all challenges. We all belong to God, and should He call us back may He give strength to the loved ones we leave behind. As a youth auxiliary pledging service to our nation and countrymen, we are merging with Humanity First in providing volunteers to affected families.

Fact of the Day

Actual seventh century Qur'ans, complete and intact, are on display in museums in Turkey and many other places around the world.
NorthVirginiaHomelessShelterWhile America joyously celebrated the holidays and enjoyed time with their loved ones, Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya North Virginia kept in mind the less fortunate who had no money to buy any gifts, no home to go to, and no families to share their joy with. There were a total of four Khuddam and one Nasir from NVA Majlis who woke up early on Saturday Dec 29th, and headed to the Reston Homeless Shelter Facility to serve the people that needed this service the most around this time of the year. We all gathered at the homeless shelter at 6:30 am in the morning. We had milk, juice, bread, bagels, muffins, and cereals with us in addition to the hot meal comprising of scrambled eggs, grits, and turkey bacon which was prepared there at the facility. Due to an excellent teamwork and a high spirit to serve the needy, we were able to prepare and setup the breakfast very quickly. The shutter got opened at 7:30 am and the people began walking up to the serving area where Khuddam were standing with bright smiles on their faces and greetings from their mouths while serving breakfast to them. By the grace of Allah, about 130 homeless individuals were fed breakfast by Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya. The residents of this shelter facility were extremely thankful but in reality it was us who were thankful to the Almighty Allah who provided us this opportunity to serve our fellow citizens, and make some contributions toward their holiday celebrations
