Seven daring Khudam from the MKA Harford Majlis recently had the wonderful opportunity to go on a sking trip to the Snow Tubing Woodbury Ski Area! This is the largest snow tubing park in Connecticut. However it was more than just a sking trip, but an experiment in kinetic (moving) energy. While the snow tube was going down the mountain faster and faster; khuddam were airborne at times due to high speeds. These daring khuddam experienced physics in action first hand by participating in this adrenaline pumping activity. Newtonian principles will show you that potential (rest) energy is greatest at the top of the mountain and when an object like the snow tube comes barreling down it transfers all this potential energy into kinetic (moving) energy, and hence the awesome speeds that took these khudaam airborne.The khudaam attempted both the beginner and advance snow tube lanes while racing each other. This is a good example of brotherhood and how it can shine when brothers come together in times of fun. The three immensely fun hours that the khudaam spent together while totally tubing allowed for a good amount of social interaction. This activity was followed by lunch and congregational prayers.
