Hamid was born in Pakistan and raised in Gambia, West Africa where his father served as a Murabbi Silsila. He came over to the United States almost a decade ago. Here, he joined DeVry University from where he graduated in 2009 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He currently works for GE Healthcare and is stationed in New Milford, NJ.
Hamid serves on the local Amila for MKA North Jersey. He is very regular at the mosque and one of the most well-disciplined as well. He is always a phone call away and ready to assist the Qaid in any way he can. Hamid is very devoted to the Jamaat. He is so keen to serve that he took two weeks off from work to serve on the Khilafat team this year. He also helped a great deal with the Muslims for Life campaign last year; and is assisting the campaign this year again.
Hamid is a very humble, friendly and easy-going guy. He is a keen follower of sports. He likes to watch football and soccer and thanks to his African background, is a good soccer player himself. Hamid's example should serve to inspire Khuddam nationwide. He is a true star!
