Majlis Atfal ul' Ahmadiyya Chicago West had held an Atfal Camp for the Spring Season. There were all kinds of activities and sessions throughout this event. By the grace of Allah, it was a very successful camp with an attendance of 45 participants, who included young Khuddam, Children under the age of 7 years, and our Atfal. Nazim Atfal Chicago West March 30, 2009 (Continued) All of the Atfal had a wonderful time at this camp, which involved activities such as, Sports competitions, Religious Competitions, Sports skills challenges, General knowledge competitions, Gaming Session, and the Bowling Event. We had other sessions that included Taleem and Tarbiyyat discussions because camps are primarily held for training the Atfal in their etiquettes, manners, and knowledge. For the Religious competitions at this camp, may of our atfal had performed well. They all participated in at least one Reglious competition and they were judged upon the criteria that is followed at the National Ijtema. The religious competitions included Recitation of Holy Qur'an, Memorization of Holy Qur'an, Urdu Poem, Speech, and Adhaan for ages 9 years and under. By the grace of Allah, we had seen an enormous amount of improvement in many atfal. The names of the atfal that had come in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place for these competitions were announced, but we did not provide them with any awards because we had decided that we will be announcing the names and providing the atfal with the awards in our next Jama'at General Meeting, Inshallah! Those atfal that didn't come in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place shouldn't be discouraged. As I had mentioned at the camp and in the past many times that it's never about the prizes and awards. You are competing to learn, to gain experience, and to become a better Ahmadi Muslim. This is a great development and preparation for future purposes, as our Atfal are encountering them and will encounter them. You are also competing for the blessings and rewards of Allah. This will benefit all of you in the future and will develop you to become better and knowledgeable children of Ahmadiyyat.  During the camp, I was taking pictures of the activities that were occuring. Enclosed in the attachment are the pictures of the event that were taken throughout the event. I have attached the Agenda for this camp as well. I also interviewed atfal on video about the event and the activities that were taken place. Atfal were stating their feelings and opinions about what was happening at the camp. I will be emailing the videos to our National Mohtamim Atfal Sahib, Brother Abdul Hadi Ahmed. We had our Midwest Regional Qaid Sahib, Brother Abu Bakar Bin Saeed Sahib, and Regional Nazim Atfal Sahib, Brother Awab Manzoor Sahib, attend this camp as well. Our atfal were very blessed and really appreciated to have them attend our camp. Our Atfal were informed about when and where the National Ijtema will be held and also the Regional Ijtema. Jazakallah to our Regional Qaid Sahib and Regional Nazim Atfal Sahib for dedicating their time to visit our camp. I would also like to say Jazakallah to all the parents and everyone elsee for dedicating and commiting their time to help us out during the entire camp with everything.
