New AMSA!! [posted Feb 7, 2008]

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious Ever Merciful
Assalamo-alaikum wa rahmatullah,
Today marked a historic day in the nearly one hundred year history of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science as we were able to raise the flag of Ahmadiyyat and Islam on this campus. As you may know Ahmadiyya Muslim Student Association was approved at this school just last month. Today we had a tableegh table in the student union to spread the peaceful message of Ahmadiyyat and Islam to faculty, students and staff. Until now the most active groups on this campus were the Jewish and Christian student groups. The university is located about five miles from the city of Zion , home of Dr. John Alexander Dowie. The most surprising thing happened at the end. As we left the student union a student followed us out to the parking lot and asked many questions about Islam. He seemed very concerned about the general state of Islam in the world today. When we asked him why he did not asked those questions at the tableegh table he replied: “I did not feel comfortable because this school has very strong Jewish background/foundation”. Alhamdollilah the student was able to get satisfactory answers to all his questions.

At the end I would like to say Jazakallah to Brother Junayd Lateef , Secretary Tableegh Zion Jamat and MKA National Secretary Tarbiyyat and his wife for helping during the entire event.

AMSA get's good press at University of Washington Seattle...
  [posted Feb 7, 2008]

“A lot of people think Allah is a different God,” said Tuseef Chaudhry, a student at Seattle University and member of the AMSA. “But this is the same [God] as Jews … [and] Christians. Allah is a different word for God [and] literally means ‘the creator’ in Arabic.”
