Various Tahreekaat (Initiatives)

In administrative matters and disciplined work, Huzhuraba has no parallel.  He has the unique quality of getting down to the heart of a matter and dealing with it squarely. Here is a brief summary of the schemes initiated by Khalifatul Masih Vaba for the purpose of establishing and expanding Ahmadiyyat throughout the world:

Tahir Foundation

One of the first initiatives of Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad was to establish the Tahir foundation on 26 July, 2003.  The foundation was established in memory of Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih IV for the purposes of continuing those initiatives in which Khalifatul Masih IV took a personal interest.

Expansion of MTA

On 23rd April 2004, Khalifatul Masih V inaugurated MTA 2, followed by MTA3 in March, 2007. From the beginning of his Khilafat, Huzur took a keen interest in the success of MTA by taking an active role in reorganizing the program schedule of MTA so as to ensure that Ahmadies of all time zones were gaining access to full program viewing.

Strengthening of the Institution of Wasiyyat

Al-Wasiyyat was established by Promised Messiahas in 1905.  By 2004, there were 38,000 Ahmadis around the world who were initiated into this scheme. In June 2004, Hudhuraba announced a plan to have 15,000 more Ahmadies join the institution of Wasiyyat. In response to his passionate call, the number of Ahmadi Muslims committed to this scheme has grown multifold.

Establishment of Mosques and Jamiah Ahmadiyya In the Western World

On October 2003, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmada inaugurated Baitul Futuh mosque in London, making it the largest mosque in Western Europe. Under the Divine leadership of Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmaabad, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has continued to establish mosques all over the world at an accelerated pace to a current number of over 15,500 mosques and missions worldwide. Also, Jamiah Ahmadiyya (previously only present in India, Canada and Pakistan) now has been established in the U.K. and Germany under Hudhur’saba guidance.

Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya Centenary

In commemoration of 100 years of Khilafat, Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih Vaba put forward a spiritual plan for Ahmadi Muslims to offer gratitude to Allah the Almighty in 2008. The plan consisted of the recitation of daily prayers as well as a supererogatory fast every month with the intention that Khilafat may remain in Ahmadiyyat forever. Khilafat Centenary celebrations culminated in Huzur’saba attendance of the Jalsa Salana (annual gathering) in Qadian, the birth place of Ahmadiyyat.

A Leader of Peace

At a time fraught with misunderstanding and misinterpretations of Islam, Huzuraba continues to direct Ahmadi Muslims to reach out to the communities in which they live and deliver the peaceful message of Islam. In 2008, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmadaba addressed the House of Parliament (UK) on Islam and peace.  Hudhuraba has also provided continual guidance, consolation and comfort to Ahmadies worldwide in the light of ongoing persecutions of the community in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia, and in the aftermath of the horrific massacre of scores of Ahmadies in Lahore, Pakistan in May, 2010.

May Allah bless our beloved Imam, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih (atba) with a long, healthy and dynamic life so that all of us may witness the final victory of Islam during the period of his Khilafat. Ameen.
