In the name of Allah, Most Gracious Ever Merciful Majlis Atfaal Ul Ahmadiya Washington DC New Year sleepover 2009   The 2009 2nd annual atfaal sleepover took place on Dec. 31st 2009 at Fazal mosque located in the diplomatic community of Washington DC NW. A wet soggy night started with arrival of atfaal and their parents. The local sadar sahib respected Mian Ismaeel Waseem, general secretary Khalid Mahmood (mohtamim atfall in his khudam days) nazim atfaal Zahid Yousaf greeted all and welcomed them. Namaz Isha was offered at 8:20pm led by sadar sahib, Azan by Faizan Tariq. After salat, program started with tilawat by Farzan Ahmad. After the atfaal pledge sadar sahib gave the opening remarks and thanked all the members for coming. We all had pizza for dinner, brownies and halwa for desert.   The young atfaal enjoyed sadar sahib’s company while he played games with him. He showed the kids some tricks and played games from his childhood. I must say the children were amused and got well involved. We all thanked sadar sahib for all he did as he departed for the night. Nazim sahib gave a little dars before the fun part began for them. The dars was on surah Fateah.   Nazim atfaal sahib showed the MKA/Atfaal website in as many details as possible. All the parents and atfaal were very excited about all the things the website had to offer. All the parents loved the tools available to them for them to use. All the children stayed up way beyond their bedtime. They all engaged themselves in various different games and story telling. It was very hard to get them to get them to bed. Tabligh- Make one entry for Messiah Films.                             Goal= 500 Contacts Tarbiyyat: Hold a Tarbiyyat discussion during the monthly meeting Finance: Collect at least 50% of total Membership dues. Waqar-e-Amal: Organize a big Waqar-e-amal project coordinating it with local Sadr Sb. Khidmat-e-Khalq: Arrange for Khuddam to visit a RedCross or other organization site to donate blood. Khuddam Chanda is made up of Chanda Majlis and Chanda Ijtema.  It is obligatory upon all Khuddamul Ahmadiyya members ages 15-40. There were no computers, no typewriters and no pens and no electricity. In the light of a fire lamp, with the use of an inkpot and quil, our beloved Messiah wrote hundreds of books. How hard will you work to read a few pages of his book? Do some Justice! Do the workbook!	Regional Sleepover, Juma Timings/Locations, etc . How important is Jumma? So important that there is a chapter in the Holy Quran named for it which stresses the importance of leaving all work to turn to Allah (swt) The Holy Prophet (pbuh) warned people that if they missed three consecutive Jumma Prayers, their heart would be blackened. Do you attend Jumma on a regular basis? Do you remind your brothers to attend Jumma?
