EAST REGION INTRO
East Region: A collage converged of faces from North Jersey, Central Jersey, Willingboro and Philadelphia; it is our representation of Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya; it is our identity as Khuddam. East is known for many as a location describing the beginning of Ahmadiyyat in the United States; but for the residents of this region, it is more than the same story. For us, East is a familiar yet different kind of story vindicating the ideals of Tarbiyyat & Taleem, Friendship & Brotherhood, and most of all: Love for all, Hatred for none. East is not my home, rather it is our home preserving the institution of MKA and welcoming the obligation to serve mankind. On a ship on sail, East is known as a geographical location on a compass 90 degrees due north and directly opposite from the West. Our ship has also left harbor and set sail to spread Ahmadiyyat and Islam to the corners of the Earth. Our compass is not complicated. Directly due north is Allah Almighty; directly due east is our region. Our ship is not alone on the high seas. We have the best fleet in the world representing all the regions of this country floating towards to that one destination to Love for all, and Hatred for none. We are part of the strongest Navy in the world flying the flag of Khilafat e Ahmadiyyat aboard our ship.
East region has helped us grow into better Ahmadis teaching the growth of respect and relationship. Our growth is disciplined by Regional Tarbiyyat Workshops steering our ship into the right direction. Our knowledge has been supplemented by our study of the Taleem Workbooks, known to few as optional learning, but known to us as strife towards knowledge. When we are down; when we have no friend, we have East to rejuvenate us. When we are alas confused about our skills, we have Sanat O Tijrat to employ our knowledge in the right office. We learn from what is right and what is wrong from the Atfal Department. We learn the structure of sacrifice of our finances for God. We take our knowledge that is infectious and record it on audio or present on video. We are no other than Khuddam. We do not have an elaborate identity of our region; we are simply East. East is our home and your home. Please join our family of brotherhood. In the house of Allah, we have an infinite amount of rooms for you. East region is me, you and the Eastern part of the United States representing Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Welcome!

Coming to the raft, I began a thought process evaluating the different complexiti es I would face while controlling this raft. Among twenty five young Khuddam and Atfal, I chose not to ask for knowledge pertaining to my concern. As my brother, my friend, Naseer Alam Sahib and his son got on board, I felt being on my own ship.

Waqas Asghar Sahib yelled, “Safeer Biye, come. I will protect you,” was how MKA East connected towards Khilafat. It was the end of the day and I accomplished all my goals of stopping and going down the hill without falling. I yet had one task to complete: to truly reach our skiing towards Khilafat. Our Skiing towards Khilafat did not begin on Saturday January 5th, 2008, it began on the night of January 4th where Khuddam from Philadelphia worked tirelessly through the evening placing the ingredients into the hoagies that was served on Saturday afternoon.

 Murrabi Kauser Sahib who came to bless our Regional Ijtema with his insights and his advice, Speaking to us for over two hours in our opening session,shared to us our responsibility of being a
Khadim and our duty to our departments. We also had an interesting time to ask questions with Murrabi sahib. After our Question and Answer session was over, the educational competitions for the Khuddam was ready to begin. Murrabi Sahib led the first competition of the Recitation of the Holy Quran.

 After grabbing the Milky Way Hot Chocolate from Dunkin Donuts, I placed the cup in the grasp of my hand and lifted my arm to my lips. I closed my eyes and took a sip. When I woke up, I could not detect where I was sent. I tried opening my eyes, but my eyes were shut. Suddenly, I saw an illuminated beautiful star. As I got closer to this star, it got closer to me. Before my journey ended, I was standing in front of this star. This star was Al-Nasr Mosque. I was standing in front of this Mosque.
