QRC 2007 Policies / Guidelines
- When and where is the QRC for 2007?
- This year's QRC will be held on November 17th and 18th 2007 at the Bait-ul-Samee mosque (Houston). Street address for the mosque is 1333 Spears Rd,

- When should I book my air ticket?
- It is highly recommended that you book you air tickets as soon as possible.
- Who pays for the airfare?
National Amla members will use their allocated departmental budgets to pay for the tickets. Qaideen are expected to use local funds to pay for the airfare. For all unique situations, a Qaid should contact his Regional Qaid who can either solve the matter or get further help from Mohtamim Sb Maal.
- What should be the timings of my arrival and departure?
- National Amla members are expected to arrive by 7pm on friday, November 16th to attend the amla meeting. Qaideen are requested to arrive by friday night so they can be present on the opening session on saturday morning 9 am.
- Is there a preferred airport?
- George Bush International is the preferred airport to fly in (hub of Continental airlines) and is 15 minutes away from the mosque. Houston Hobby airport is 50 minutes away form the mosque but pick up will be provided form there as well.
- Can I bring my local amla members to the QRC?
- Local amla members (if allowed by the local Qaid) are welcome. This will be an excellent opportunity for them to increase their understanding of MKA.
- Will my local amla members get travel subsidy?
- MKA USA does not provide for the travel expenses of local amla members from the National funds.
- What if I plan to come late or leave early?
- It is strongly discouraged to arrive late or depart before the conclusion of the event. Under exceptional circumstances, you are required to seek permission from Sadr MKA USA before making your travel reservations.
- When will the detailed program of the QRC be available?
- Detailed program for the QRC will be announced no later than October 10th 2007.
- How can I maximize my visit to the QRC?
Qaideen can maximize their visit by: a) Writing down any questions they have faced during the year since they will get a chance to meet every amla member in person. b) Bringing members of their local amla with them. c) Bringing your Tajneed files, reciept books and other documents so specific advice can be offered.
- National Amla members can maximize their expereince by: a) Reviewing all the reports of Majalis specific to their office so they have a clear idea of individual strengths and weaknesses. b) bringing printed material and handouts for their resource fair table. c) Using newer tools of communication such as short videos, pictures, success stories etc.
- Where should I send any ideas, suggestions, or comments about the QRC?
- It is not too late for you to submit any ideas that will enhance this year's QRC program. Please submit them through the mkausa.org website to department of Motamid or Sadr MKA USA.
- Who do I call if I have more questions?
- Qaideen should contact their regional qaideen for any clarifications. National Amla members can contact Naib Sadr Muhammed Ahmed Chaudhry.
