A Message from Sadr MKA USA (July 2007)

Assalamo Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.
Dear Atfal & Khuddam,

I remember back in 2004, when MKA USA organized our National Ijtema in Detroit, there was an underlying feeling that a large number of people would not be able to attend due to the distance. By Allah's Grace and Mercy, more than 18 khuddam and atfal from a small majlis like Baltimore attended the National Ijtema, and the total number of attendees soared to 500+.

Why? Because there is something about being with your brothers that cannot be described in words.

This year, a record number of khuddam are flying in from California, Arizona, Oregon, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and the like. Others have reserved buses and will be traveling in groups. Our pre-ijtema online registration is at a record high; and why would it not be? The National Ijtema Staff has already spent literally thousands of man-hours to ensure that YOU, each one of you, has a spiritually uplifting experience.

For those who were not planning to be in Hudson Valley next weekend, there is still plenty of time to make that commitment to be with us. Book a flight today, reserve your seat on the bus with your Qaid, and start packing. If you live within 10 hours of driving distance from the Ijtema site, then you are fortunate enough to simply jump in the car and go. You won’t want to be sitting at home while MKA USA is making history at our Premiere Event of the Year.

Our beloved Imam, Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih al-Khamis(aba) has sent us a beautiful address for the occasion, and I want to leave you with a small glimpse. Huzur(aba) says, “You have all come together…in order to bring about good changes in your character and set yourselves on the right path. You should ask yourselves whether you have tried to make those changes that would please Allah. Only then would you be able to attract your fellow American c itizens to join you and find true contentment of heart.”

In addition to sending us a full address for the National Ijtema, Huzur(aba) has also prayed that we may reach our goal of 1000 attendees this year; we also pray for that goal and are working hard towards reaching it.

Come meet your brothers and discover your inner voice. We will be waiting for you!
