Transportation

All participants are expected to attend Salatul Jummah (Friday Prayer) at the Ijtema site and stay until the end of the Concluding Session on Sunday, August 24^th

Please e-mail your itinerary to: travel@mkausa.org AND provide the full details of your travel during the Online Registration Process
All Pick-up requests must be submitted by Friday, August 15^th 

Preferred Airport: Stewart International Airport (SWF) – Full Service

Stewart International Airport is located near Newburgh, New York with service from following airlines: American, AirTran, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest and US Airways

·       Pick up service will be available starting Thursday, August 21^st and drop off will end Sunday evening, August 24^th, 2008

·       All participants are expected to arrive prior to Friday Prayer service, therefore your flight must arrive no later than 12:30 PM EDT in order to attend the Friday Prayer

·       SWF Airport is approximately 18 miles/25 mins from the Ijtema Site; please plan your arrival accordingly

Alternate Airports: Restricted Service due to distance (review carefully)

1. John F. Kennedy Int’l Airport (JFK) - 91 Miles/2- 2.5 Hours to Ijtema Site

2. LaGuardia Airport (LGA) - 80 Miles/2 - 2.5 Hours to Ijtema Site

·       Shuttle services will be provided from JFK and LGA starting Thursday, July 12^th up until the morning of Friday, August 22^nd at 10:30 AM EDT

 

DROP-OFF SERVICE: We strongly encourage you to consider your departure flights after 3 PM and 4 PM EDT from SWF and JFK/LGA respectively, so adequate time is available for your timely transportation to the airport
