Day Two of Hadhur's Arrival

 Daily Bulletin: Day 2
Tours MTA Studios, Inspects Construction Site

Wednesday, June 18 - After a day that will live in the hearts and minds of over 200 members of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya USA youth for many years to come, the first full day of Hadhur’s (aba) stay in America quickly arrived.  After a 10 year period of waiting, the Khuddam of America were blessed with the opportunity to once again serve their beloved Khalifa in person.  The Khilafat Team members recognized that such opportunities are rare and may even only come once in a lifetime.  Hence, to take hold of such opportunities and give an effort worthy of service to the Khalifa was their top priority this day.
As Faheem Younus Qureshi, Respected Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya USA eloquently related at the opening meeting on Monday the 15th, often times the most blessed and most loved work by Allah, is the work only seen by Him.  He lovingly advised all Khilafat Team members to focus on gaining Allah’s pleasure and Allah’s pleasure alone.  It was in this spirit that the Khilafat Team hit the ground running on June 17th.  Like the powerful pistons under the hood of a racecar, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya began a seamless behind the scenes effort to provide for the needs of the day.
The sun beat down this hot June day, but Shafat Sirajee of Majlis Los Angeles/Inland Empire didn’t seem to mind.  Working his shift diligently in the parking facility, Brother Shafat was one of about 15 hardworking young men, anxiously giving their time to the Khilafat Team.  When asked how he gets through such a tough day, Shafat responded, “I’m motivated to help people see Hadhur (aba).  No matter how menial a job may seem to some, it is worth it if it helps people get closer to Hadhur (aba).”  Brother Shafat further explained the importance of listening to leadership in preparation for such an important task.  “Because we are listening to our Naib Afsar, we’re coordinated.  We each work our shifts and we each know what to do during our shifts.  This is why things work.  If we picked and chose what we wanted to listen to, there would be chaos.”
This positive attitude seemed contagious as Brother Munir Ahmad from Ziafat also explained, “We cook, we wash, we service, we deliver, we eat ourselves, and we cook and wash some more.  Our only wish is to try to make as many people happy as we can.  We are satisfied when we’ve made people happy with good food.”
But it didn’t just stop there.  Every arm and leg of the Khilafat Team worked with conviction.  Need something done quickly?  Look no further than the Rapid Response team.  A swift team, dedicated to getting whatever needs to get done, and getting it done 10 minutes ago.  No matter the task, if it needs to be done, call on the Rapid Response team and consider it done.
In speaking with several brothers of the security team, we found that spirits were consistently high.  Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya USA worked diligently and consistently.  Their sheer love for Khilafat provided more than ample motivation to perform their duties to perfection. Whether they were cleaning the restrooms or directing traffic, cooking food or registering guests of the Promised Messiah (as) for the upcoming Jalsa Salana, each member of the Khilafat Team worked with honor and respect.  No job was too small, no task to insignificant, and no response to slow.
The Khalifa’s first full day in America was, Alhumdolillah, a resounding success.  As the local majlis members began to filter out, the parking and traffic teams again sprang into action to ensure an orderly retreat.  Security remained on guard, circling Hadhur’s (aba) house and guarding the flag.  The sun had set on a day where Allah brought the Khalifa of Islam to the America.  All members of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya USA waited anxiously for the dawn of the next day, when another spiritual battle would be fought.  The Khilafat Team thirsted after the opportunity.  Insha’Allah, it would be another rare but blessed opportunity to serve Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba).
