Largest AMC Gathering in US History Concludes
HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania — The 60th Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community successfully concluded today, sealed by a quintessential address by His Holiness, Mirza Masroor Ahmad.  The Convention, attracted over 9,500 American Muslims from around the Nation, as well as over 700 non Muslim Americans.

Establishing the true and peaceful nature of Islam was the main theme of this convention.  Accordingly, presentations throughout the 3 day convention focused on fostering interfaith and interracial dialogue.  In his concluding address, His Holiness spoke for over an hour about the dire importance of peace in the world today.  Among numerous topics, His Holiness elucidated the importance of righteous action over simple words.  He vehemently rejected the notion of violent Jihad and reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the AMC to spread peace to every country.  He noted that the AMC is firmly established in over 200 countries of the world and has gracefully maintained an impeccable record of peace and prosperity.  His Holiness advised parents to prevent their children from exposure to violent and morally repugnant media as a method to improve their spirituality and ethical integrity.  He pointed out the need for Khilafat in the Muslim world, and their rejection of Khilafat Ahmadiyya.  Furthermore, he declared that unless Muslims accept Khilafat, they will never be unified.  His Holiness further implored Ahmadi Muslims to remain steadfast in the face of persecution by responding with peace and moderation.  After a silent prayer, His Holiness concluded the convention, expressing his joy with the success of the event.
