Pittsburgh Khuddam Serve Soup Kitchen during Thanksgiving

During Thanksgiving, Majlis Khudamul Ahmadiyya Pittsburgh offered to help a soup kitchen in the neighborhood of Bloomfield, which fed about 200 people every Thanksgiving and was on the verge of not being able to support its charitable activity. Hence, appeals were made to the local Jamaat and alhamdolillah, they, along with additional friends and relatives of members, came up with a total of $421 to fund the Thanksgiving dinner. Services were rendered on Wednesday,

Thursday, and Friday of the Thanksgiving week. Desserts for 150 people were also baked at home and then brought in. By the grace of Allah, the soup kitchen this year served 225 people and, in addition, was able to hand deliver 50 meals to senior citizens who lived nearby. The soup kitchen organizer told Sheharyar Bhai, “I could not have pulled it off without your mosque’s help this year.” Jazakallah to all for helping our fellow man.
