Soup Kitchen Initiative
MKA USA did an amazing job of meeting its collective target of 1,000 bags of blood last year. We have learned so much from our experiences organizing blood drives over the past several years and will leverage our expertise in this field to take ourselves to the next level. In the spirit of continually progressing, this year we have set a target of collecting 2,000 bags of blood!! This is our highest priority throughout the year, and every Majlis will need to do their part to make this a reality. Please click here to read more.

This new initiative for MKA USA is very rewarding because it helps people directly. In this program, each Majlis will adopt an at-risk family for the winter season and provide them with food, clothing and even gifts. With Thanksgiving, Eid-ul-Adhia and Christmas, there are many ways to market our involvement in this program to help families through this festive season. Each Majlis will work with local relief organization to identify and sponsor a family in need. Please click here to read more.

One of the basic and essential forms of serving mankind is to help feed people who are hungry. Especially in the economic crisis our country is currently in, there is definitely going to be a need to help our fellow countrymen who need food. In this Soup Kitchen initiative, local Majalis will work with local soup kitchen organizations to provide manpower to one or more soup kitchens in their city, which involves helping to serve meals to the hungry and homeless.
