Islamic Sect Promoted Peaceful Dialogue

As a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and an American-Muslim, I commend the Denmark authorities for arresting terrorists who were about to carry out a "Mumbai style" attack on Jyllands-Posten earlier this week. When Jyllands-Posten printed a series of cartoons of Prophet Muhammad in September 2005, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Denmark was the first to respond in a peaceful fashion.

Jyllands-Posten and delegates from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Denmark, with the President of the Journalist Union Denmark, held a dialogue to discuss Prophet Muhammad's true teachings. The result was a published article from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Denmark in Jyllands-Posten, a television interview of one its members and a press release from the president to address the issue.

This incident serves as an alternative to what the world extremists invite us to and I hope those arrested will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
