President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize And Muslim Leaders
By Qasim Rashid
President Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and I wonder whether Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Saudi King Abdullah, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and other Muslim leaders will take notice? There are a few things they could learn from the U.S. president, who accomplished in nine months what they couldn't in decades of leadership.
These leaders should also recognize that the very religion they claim to stand for, Islam, means peace. They should take a note out of Obama's handbook and not stand idle while their citizens are being killed simply because they are Muslim, Christian or Hindu. One need not be a prophet to establish peace.
Peace can be established by any person who has the slightest bit of compassion for mankind.
