As a Muslim who condemns all forms of terrorism, strives to promote understanding among all faiths and urges all Muslims to do the same, I'm disheartened and appalled by Rep. Peter King's plan to hold hearings on the radicalization of the American Muslim community. Besides further alienating Muslims who may be vulnerable to extremist ideology, what else could this lead to?
