Egyptians finally have a chance to shape their own destiny. In some ways, Egypt's revolution reminds me of the American Revolution. The American Revolution was a response to the tightening grip of an oppressive empire. Freedom, not religion, spurred the American Revolution. Similarly, Christians and Muslims worked toward a more free Egypt. As a Muslim-American, I hope we can all separate religion from politics.
