Similar to Khalid Aldawsari, a Saudi college student who tried to blow up former President Bush's home, I have lived in Texas (I'm a born Texan), I am a Muslim youth, and a college student.

Aldawsari's plan to kill "infidels" is nerve-racking, but I appreciate his statement, "after mastering the English language ... it is time for Jihad." This quote resonates with me greatly because my fluency in English allows me to engage in the Jihad of the pen, to counter the likes of Aldawsari.

Aldawsari chose to become a fighter, but I urge my fellow Muslim youths to engage in the real Jihad -- by becoming writers.
