In light of the hateful protests against Muslims, deputy national security adviser Denis McDonough's efforts to inform Muslim Americans that the U.S. government supports them amid these troubling times are refreshing. Inclusiveness in the face of hatred and ignorance from a minority of Americans is precisely why I, as a Muslim, love my country so much.
