Over the past few months, congressmen and senators have discussed and opined on the radicalization of Muslim-Americans. As a Muslim-American, I find it disturbing that I am slowly being grouped with terrorists who have distorted Islam. Islam unequivocally condemns harming one's country.

We Muslim-Americans must forcefully condemn Muslim radicalization within the United States. Maybe then some politicians will understand that we are not like the terrorists and that we appreciate all the freedoms that this country provides us.
