5/4/11, Letter to Editor, The Oshkosh Northwestern
The news of Osama bin Laden's death brought relief to all Americans and hopefully some closure to the victims of 9/11. As a loyal Muslim-American I feel justice has been served. Bin Laden and his associates caused tremendous and irreparable harm to innocent civilians all over the world. As a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, I hope and pray that with bin Laden out of the picture, our country is safer. However, the struggle against violent extremists does not end with bin Laden's death. To that effect, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA has, and will continue to, demand that Muslim-Americans be loyal and patriotic subjects to America as the Holy Quran (4:60) demands. I share the sentiments of our president when he aptly declared, "Our war is not with Islam. Osama was never a Muslim leader. He was a mass murderer."
