Although the war against al-Qaeda is not over, Osama bin Laden's death sends a clear message that his cohorts are not safe. Bin Laden's vile acts were erroneous from the start, and I laud the U.S. government for its efforts.

As a Muslim-American, I am thankful to President Barack Obama, the Navy SEALs, as well as the scores of soldiers who have gone to foreign shores to protect me and my fellow Americans from the malevolent actions of others.
