Enemies Of Islam
By: Saad Karamat

In my presentation on homegrown terrorism in a legal studies course at UC Berkeley, we dissected the profiles of multiple homegrown terrorists, including Mohammed Mohamud, Antonio Martinez, and Faysal Shehzad.  We then further examined the concept of jihad, as well as the life examples of several prophets, including Abraham, Noah and, most particularly, Prophet Muhammad.  The purpose of this exercise was to consider the validity behind statements such as the one most recently made by American-born al-Qaida spokesman, Adam Gadahn: "Muslims in the West have to remember that they are perfectly placed to play an important and decisive part in the jihad, to do major damage to the enemies of Islam."  Our conclusion: The biggest enemies of Islam are the likes of Gadahn.

As an Ahmadi Muslim-American, my jihad against Gadahn was delivering that presentation.
