Pakistan Government Should Protect Its Citizens
By: Naseer Humayun

I am an Ahmadi Muslim who lives in Dalton. On May 28, 2010, Taliban terrorists attacked innocent worshipers at two Ahmadi mosques in Lahore, Pakistan.

During the massacre, more than 90 people died and more than 100 were injured, including some of my wife’s relatives.

I am very fortunate to be living in America where I can practice my faith without the fear of being killed by these terrorists. The United States Constitution guarantees the freedom to practice my faith, something I could not do when I was in Pakistan.

I hope the international community, especially the U.S. government, can pressure the Pakistan government to protect the lives of its citizens.

If these terrorists are not stopped, they will ultimately attack the United States.
