America Must Aid Peaceful Muslims

On May 28, terrorists responsible for planning the failed Times Square attack entered two mosques of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community armed with assault rifles and hand grenades.

When the chaos ended, nearly 100 were brutally murdered, including children, and 100 more left seriously wounded.

The incident would not be so startling if the victim were someone else. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, as it always is, was the first and foremost voice condemning the Times Square plot in America.

In Thomas Jefferson’s study of the Holy Quran, he found that Islam promotes peace and cooperation. As the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community promotes western values, the war on terror cannot be won until this legislation is repealed.

This Anti-Ahmadiyya law has perpetuated today’s funeral where mothers will bury their sons, sisters will weep the death of their brothers, and wives will bury their husbands.

I speak for the masses that we are disappointed in the interior affairs of Pakistan’s government, a ministry who has yet to control the affairs of its own country.

As an Ahmadi Muslim obligated to practice peace, I am ashamed of those who believe that righteousness can be attained through evil means. I call upon all Americans to rise in defense of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
