Violating Terms Of His Own Principles

As a Muslim-American, I am saddened to hear about Pfc. Naser Abdo, who admitted to planning an attack on Fort Hood. It is not his arrest, but Abdo attributing his acts to Islam that saddens me. Seeking conscientious objector status, he wrote, "I realized through further reflection that God did not give legitimacy to the war in Afghanistan, Iraq or any war the U.S. Army would conceivably participate in."

Yes, but would an attack on his fellow servicemen be legitimate in the eyes of God? He must deeply reflect on Quran (2:12-16), which instructs Muslims not to create disorder in the Earth.
