I Owe Thanks

I owe thanks to my fellow Americans who opposed the idea of “Burn a Quran” on Sept. 11. I am especially grateful to religious and political leaders who stood by the American Muslims in opposition of this proposed act.

America was founded on and is recognized by its values of religious tolerance and freedom. I am grateful that my fellow Americans stood true to these values.

The crime committed on Sept. 11, 2001 against innocent humanity was engineered by evil-minded hate-mongers. In mourning the atrocities of that day, all Americans stand shoulder to shoulder.
