How is Chanda Used to Support MKA Activities?
Have you ever wondered where your MKA Chanda goes? If so, you need to get more involved in local MKA activities or ask your Qaid to conduct more activities. The truth is that almost all MKA activities are conducted with the sole support of MKA Chanda.
Keep in mind that 30% of all Majlis Chanda (Khuddam/Atfal) is sent to London for Markaz share. 22% of all Majlis Chanda is kept at the local Majlis. That leaves 48% of Majlis Chanda for National MKA (plus 100% of Ijtema Fund).
At the local level activities like sleepovers (a Tarbiyyat event that is meant to remind members of the significance of Tahajud prayers, salat, and brotherhood), local Ijtemat, social activities (ski trips, paintball activities, hiking, sporting events, etc.), and others are held using local funds. The purpose of MKA is to train the youth of the Jamaat and all these activities help fulfill this very important demand. From the Natoinal share we fund both regional and national activities like Regional Ijtemat, Regional Qaideen travel to Majalis, and several national events. National events include the QRC, National Amila Meetings, Masroor Basketball Tournament, Nasir Cricket Tournament, Musleh Maud Tournament, National Shura, National Ijtema, Abdul Salam Scient Fair, Sanat-o-Tajarat events, and Jalsa Salana (support). Additionally, the National share is used to fund events like the West Coast Ijtema, projects like mkausa.org, and ad-hoc requests by Regional Qaideen to support regional/local activities.
These are just some of the events for which MKA funds are used, but you cannot appreciate these activities unless you take part in them. Then you will realize how MKA Chanda is used to support the Tarbiyyat of more than 2,500 members across the country.
