MKA Finance FY 2009-10 Q1 Drive
Focus on Participation
Last year was an historic year for MKA USA.  We had record participation and collection.  This year, inshaAllah, with your help we’d like to once again shatter previous records.  This year our goal is to have 2,200 participants (Atfal and Khuddam combined). It does seem like a challenge, but I have firm belief that members across the country will once again come together to help us meet this challenge. Read More...
finance Becoming a Regular Chanda Payment Member
What steps you can take to become regular
You can help us do our job with greater efficiency if you become regular at paying chanda. The question you may be wondering is how that may be possible. There is limited income but seemingly limitless expenses, so how are certain members able to be regular in their Chanda? Are there simple and manageable steps that a Khadim can take to make sure he's not behind on his Chanda? Read More…
membership Drive to 2200
We set our eyes on 2,200 Participants
For the past three years we've set 2,000 as our participation goal, but twice we fell short.  While there was general dissapointment in not being able to achieve this target, we continued to focus on the basics.  This year, Alhamdolillah, we passed the 2,100 participation mark, shattering all expectations.  This is indeed an historic moment for MKA USA and all of you are to be congratulated for making this happen Read More…

About MKA Finance
An overview of the Finance department
The finance department's main goal is to ensure members pay their annual dues (chanda) and that there is proper accounting of all income and expenses. In this capacity, we work with the local Majlis to support their efforts. More specifically, this year we have two very achievalbe but challenging goals of collecting over $357,000 in dues and having at least 2,000 participants (including Atfal). Please remember that new annual Ijtema Chanda rate is 2.5% of one month's income (instituted 2 years ago). With your help, InshaAllah, we can achieve both goals well before October. Our history of collection suggests that we will, inshaAllah, raise more money than our budget, but we have to work towards getting the participation to a higher number. We all hope that you will do your best to be part of this blessed drive as well as encourage others to do the same.
