2008-2009 Year in Review
Alhumdholillah, MSQ USA had a record-breaking year. The team published almost 60 op-eds and letters in defense of Islam in major American newspapers, including the USA Today, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and New York Daily News. This is nearly double the team's production from last year. MSQ USA also launched a special fortnightly newsletter called The Holy Pen, which showcases the team's accomplishments. 20 issues of the The Holy Pen were published in 2008-2009. In addition, MSQ USA held its Second Annual Preachers & Publishers Conference in Baltimore, Maryland on March 7-8, 2009. During this weekend, Dr. Tom Schaller, a renowned journalist in Maryland, lectured over a dozen MSQ writers about the art of pitching stories to newspapers.
