The Zion, Illinois chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC)is hosting a presentation entitled, "Where do we go from Here."  Speakers of different faith groups will deliver their point of view on the subject of the "next life," and what the concept means to individuals and humankind. This forum, the first in a series of interfaith dialogues, intends to bring people of all faiths together to engage in a meaningful discussion to infuse mutual understanding of the various belief systems. Pastor Frank James; Founder of Changing Lives Ministries Non-Denominational Church of Racine, WI., Anna Resendiz; Philanthropist and Leader in the Bahai Community of Kenosha, WI, and Mubasher Ahmad; Ahmadiyya Muslim Community National Spokesperson and Midwest Regional Missionary, are the featured speakers of the event.

This initiative began after discussions among community leaders mirrored our own quest for building bridges of peace by focusing on similarities. We are pleased to find religious and secular leaders striving toward the same objectives who agree that providing access to knowledgeable resources on the tenets of religion neutralizes perceptions that may result in creating or amplifying violent conflicts between followers of different religions.

The forum will also encourage positive interaction. Open examination of religious principles helps to de-mystify the belief in a higher power. The purpose of the program is to inform and develop an understanding of the universal thought and needs of humankind. A question and answer session follows the speaker presentations, but the platform is not for debate. Any faith-based organization wishing to participate may express their interest by contacting us at IslaminZion@gmail.com.

The program is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be available.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, reformist, and fast growing international movement within Islam.  AMC spans over 193 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. AMC USA, established in 1921, is the first American-Muslim organization, and stands alone in its history and practice of open dialogue.
