AhmadSaeed2009

Ahmad Saeed Sahib was born on February 1st 1924 in East St. Louis Illinois. He signed bai’at in 1950, and was the financial secretary for many years. He is one of the members of that 'pioneering' class of Ahmadiyyat Islam, particularly in the Midwestern United States.

Ahmad Saeed Sahib went to high school with Missionary Rashid Ahmad and they've been best friends for nearly 70 years. He joined the jamaat shortly after Rashid Ahmad Sahib here in St. Louis. He has played a major role in the gaining many of the early converts to Ahmadiyyat Islam in St. Louis. He was also instrumental in the purchase of the Sadiq Mosque in St. Louis. Ahmad Saeed began youth classes of atfal and khuddam, while an ansar, and educated them on Ahmadiyyat Islam and taught them how to read the Holy Quran. He would personally pickup the atfal every week, bring them to the Mosque and teach them Islam.

He never missed a Jamaat event locally, regionally, or nationally. Not only did he make sure he and his family where in attendance he also made a way for others by offering his van or coordinating a chartered bus or other travel arrangements. He was instrumental in starting an Ahmadi Muslim community store in St. Louis called the "Village Market". The store was a vital part of the Pine Lawn community and even today, he and other Ahmadi Muslims are still recognized by young and old who benefited from the store.

You cannot mention the midwest, Chicago or St. Louis without mentioning Brother Ahmad Saeed. He even went all the way to Jamaica for tabligh. The police there harassed him and even locked him up for sometime - he, therefore, also has the distinction of being an Aseer Rah e Maula.

His message to khuddam is to “work, work and work that we may have new members and more steadfast members”.
