12th President of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya USA enters office

SILVER SPRING, MD., Nov 01, 2006 - Faheem Younus Qureshi MD, enters office today as the 12^th President* of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, USA (MKA USA). Dr. Qureshi (Sadr Sahib) was approved to succeed outgoing Sadr Naseem A. Waseem by Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V (aba) and Supreme Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, after elections were held by the MKA USA Majlis-e-Shura (National Consultative Body) on July 16, 2006.

Sadr Sahib has already received approval from Khalifatul Masih V (aba) for his new National Amila (Cabinet). Those newly appointed members will also assume their new offices today as well.

 * Title of President includes period of National Qaid denomination (1969-1989), thereafter known as Sadr per MKA Constitutional Amendment by Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh).

Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya was established worldwide in 1938, and later in the United States with the auxiliary’s first president in 1969. Since its foundation, MKA USA has grown to nearly 3,500 members in 59 chapters across the United States, with its national headquarters located in Silver Spring, Maryland. According to the auxiliary’s founder, Hadhrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (ra), “the very name of the organization indicates that its members are Ahmadi servants of mankind.” MKA USA is the Youth Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
