Abdul Hadi Ahmed has been appointed as the 2007 Afsar Ijtema (Camp Director). “I believe this facility will be ideal for the various events we hold during the ijtema as the dome itself can be easily divided into functional areas, allowing us to hold several events simultaneously," he comments. "In addition, our ability to manage the ijtema during unpredictable weather like extreme heat or a sudden downpour makes this setting perfect; being a 92,000 sq.ft enclosed and climate-controlled facility. Commercial indoor restroom facilities will be available for us to utilize and additionally, shower trailers will be rented and brought to the site.”

Hudson Valley Sportsdome is located in Milton, NY, off of I-84 and I-87/New York State Thruway. Travelers who wish to fly into the area are encouraged to search for fares into Stewart Int’l Airport (SWF). Stewart offers travel to/from several key hub airports throughout the US on major carriers like American, AirTran, JetBlue, Northwest, and US Airways.
