Please read by clicking on the link below: Our Job - Protection of the Holy Quran During the Friday Sermon delivered on August 20, 2010 by Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (a.t), the importance of the Holy Quran was discussed. In order to obtain guidance from God, we have to consistently read the Holy Quran and understand the translation by also reading the commentary. A true believer always adheres to the teachings of the Quran and self-reflects. Spiritual progress can be obtained by following taqwa, which allows a person to be constantly aware of both God's all-encompassing knowledge and attributes and a reminder of their relationship and responsibility to God as his creation. A Church called the Dove Outreach Center plans to burn the Quran on September 11. This church has created disorder and has raised objections against the Quran. In regards to this, Hazur mentioned in hissermon that all members of the Jamaat have to take action and protect the message of the Quran. We condemn this vicious plan of the Church and our job as Ahmadi Muslims is to protect the message of God in the Holy Quran by writing and engage in intellectual discussions with the public in a peaceful manner. Love and loyalty of our country is part of our faith and we show respect to every religion by firmly believing our motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None”. The Quran has guidance for entire mankind with manifest signs and distinguishes between truth and falsehood. Please listen to the Friday Sermon by going to http://www.alislam.org/archives/. Northeast Regional Ijtema
The Regional Ijtema was held on May 8, 2010 in Albany, NY. Many Atfal and Khuddam attended the Ijtema so they can experience brotherhood, participate in religious knowledge competitions, and share their knowledge. When a person spends their time in religious activities, this can bring them closer to God. The sport competitions were arranged by Mubarak Bashir. Despite the rain, this did not stop brothers from playing basketball or cricket. Such activities increased the bond between brothers and allowed them to work together. The basketball competition was won by the Fitchburg majlis and the cricket competition was won by the Boston majlis with some members from Rochester.
