Letters of Protest Over the Murders

Subject: Each coin has two sides
Dr. Aamer Liaquat Hussain / Abdul Wahab Sheikh:
I recently watched 'Aalim Online' of 7th September. All in all, the program was portrayl of one side of the coin. If majority sects are given the right to bash minorities as was the case here, then one may ask if it would be fair to bash Muslim minorities in non-Muslim countries?
It was against the spirit of fair and balanced journalism to not invite guests from Ahmadiyya faith, nor give representation to any of their beliefs. I expect a critical analysis when discussing such controversial matters. Can we expect you to host another episode this Ramadhan and invite Ahmadi guests as well to clarify their point of view and tie all the loose ends?
Does GEO TV have the moral courage to hear and convey the counter point to the points made in the program of 7th Sep, by inviting Ahmadi guests?

Subject: Letter to the editor re Murder of Ahmadiyya Doctor

Dear Editor,

It is said, “The greatest sin of our time is not the few who have destroyed but the vast majority who sat idly by.”  The declaration that murdering Ahmadies is an honorable act by Amir Hussain on GEO TV’s Aalim Online program gave the extremist a license to kill.  Amir Hussain and GEO TV’s irresponsibility has already led to the senseless murder of two service-minded Ahmadies.  I urge all fair minded citizens to condemn these atrocities, demand that justice be carried out and send a message of intolerance to those who are intolerant.  After all, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Sincerely,
Khalid Bhatti
