From the Footsteps of the Smokey Mountains to the Sensational Beaches of Florida
Welcome to the MKA USA Southeast Region
“Smiley Faces and Beautiful Places” is the four-word description of MKA Southeast Region. The southeast region of the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya consists of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia and Florida states. The region encompasses the country’s most diverse and beautiful nature, from the cypress swamps of South Florida to the high mountains of North Carolina. The breathtaking natural scenic beauty of the mountains, the nation’s largest walkthrough natural habitat zoo located in Asheboro, the 600 varied miles of long trails, the wetlands teeming with alligators and big pink birds and the diving into the warm sparkling waters flitting with tropical fish; each offers its own beauty and challenges. Then, there’s the wet and splashy Florida — from its Atlantic surf and Gulf of Mexico-lapped shores to its wildlife-teeming swamps, estuaries, rivers, lakes, springs and in addition to the steep descent of a for-screaming-out-loud thrill ride in Orlando. The list has no end.

The region boasts a number of prominent universities, with several large research universities of longstanding significance (such as UNC Chapel Hill, Florida International University, University of Georgia, Duke University, University of Miami, North Carolina State University, Clemson University, Georgia Institute of Technology) exerting an influence beyond the region. Research Triangle Park, in the Raleigh-Durham urban area of North Carolina has emerged (over a nearly 50-year existence) as a major hub of technology, governmental and biotechnological research and development. The Cummings Research Park in the Huntsville, Alabama area is another of the largest research complexes in the nation. The region has a total of 123 Fortune 500 companies. All makes the Southeast the economic engine of the future.
The Southeast is cool and mild in the winter .Most of the precipitation that falls is a cold rain from big storm systems. Most of the snow in the Southeast falls well north and far inland. The climate is hot and humid with a lot of rain in the Southeast. The rain falls mostly in heavy downpours from thunderstorms. Thunderstorms develop from the warm and humid air. Even though there is a lot of rain, it is still quite sunny in the southeast throughout the year.
As for MKA, the region has six Majalis which shapes the strength of the region. These are Atlanta, Miami, Tennessee, Charlotte, RTP and Orlando. The region has around 130 Khuddams and 30 Atfal. The region emerged after the last changes in the regions structure in November 2007. The diversity and brotherhood among the region Khuddams makes it an important pillar of the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, USA.
