RTP Majlis hold thier first Highway Clean-upJan 26, 2008
The RTP Khuddam adopted a highway last Januaury. The one and a half mile long segmented of highway that has been adopted by Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Research Triangle is centrally located for most Jamaat members. The road has good visibility hoping that the signs put up by the Department of Transportation with the words "Ahmadiyya Muslim Community" will increase awareness in the community about RTP Jamaat. Adopting this highway will also allow RTP Majlis to serve its community and help maintain a cleaner environment for its neighborhood. On January 26th, seven Khuddam gathered at around 2PM to start their first quarterly cleanup. It took them about two and half hours to walk through the segment of road and collect about five bags of trash from the roadsides. Khuddam were happy that adopting this highway on the occasion of Khilafat Centenary had given them the opportunity to not only serve their Jamaat but also their community. |

Charlotte Majlis Gets its AHH installed after 1 YearMay 10, 2008
After one year of persistent follow-ups by Charlotte Qaid, Mirza Rashed Ahmad Sahib, Charlotte Majlis got its sign installed on Hambright Rd in Huntersville, NC. Charlotte Khuddam applied for the AHH program back in April 2007 where they got their approval a few months later, but the AHH sign was not installed. With the sign not installed, Charlotte Khuddam kicked off the first cleanup hoping for the sign to be installed soon. After waiting a few months, the Majlis learnt that the sign was not installed because the application that was applied for and approved got lost at the county offices. The Majlis ended up with submitting the application once again and by the grace of Allah, the sign was installed in late April 2008. Charlotte Khuddam held the second Highway cleanup just in time before the Khilafat event of Charlotte Jama’at. |
