The Rising Star for the month of February 2012 is Hamdan Ahmad Waqas of Willingboro Majlis.

The Rising Star of February 2012 is Hamdan Ahmad Waqas of Willingboro Majlis. Hamdan is a 9 year old Waqfe Nau boy in the 3^rdgrade. Hamdan is very dilligent about his Waqfe Nau syllabus and is an active participant in all Waqfe Nau Ijtemas and Atfal events. He is currently on his way to completing the Yassarnal Quran and his ardent wish is to be ready for starting the Holy Quran in the presence of Huzoor. He is reading the Yassarnal Quran daily in preparation.  He knows the Salat in Arabic  and enjoys it especially when his father allows him the position of Immamat. Hamdan has an innocent love of Huzoor and will write letters to him regularly regarding his concerns. He also has faith in his prayers to Allah. Whenever he needs help, he prays to Allah first in addition to performing his regular prayers.

He is not only doing well in Jamaat activies, but also excels in school. His teacher knows him to be a most respectful and polite student with all A’s. Hamdan’s favorite subject is math and he aspires to be a doctor because “If people get into trouble and call 911, I want to help them because no one else can.” He surpasses his peers according to his teachers at school and in Atfal class when it comes to politeness, kindness and caring for others.

Hamdan shows the potential to be a great person because he has been given a good and selfless heart, and even at this young age, he thinks about others and their feelings. His faith is strong and is an example to young and old alike. May Allah continue to grace this Rising Star. Ameen.
