Countless members of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya recite this pledge numerous times a year.  Countless readily sacrifice their wealth and time for the sake of their faith, country and nation.  But a chosen few are tested with the opportunity to sacrifice their honor.  Even fewer are tried with the ultimate sacrifice, their lives.

This month, the Rising Stars of Islam Ahmadiyyat are the brave Khuddam of Pakistan.  These brave souls live a life of persecution and oppression, yet carry their heads up high. They listen to the painful silence that resonates during Salaat time when there is no Adhaan, yet they do not flinch.  They protect their Mosques with a nobility that can only be found in the true servants of the Gracious Lord.  And they do so despite societies attacks on their dignity and honor.  They do so, despite societies attacks on their right to exist.

On May 28th, these Rising Stars of Islam Ahmadiyyat faced the most precarious of situations.  Blind-sided by a massive terrorist attack and without any means of self defense, these lions of Islam Ahmadiyyat immediately leapt into action.  Without flinching, they followed the footsteps of the early Muslims and sought to defend the elderly and weak.  In the Model Town Masjid, a young Tifl of only 11 years old knocked a suicide bomber to the ground.  With the help of other Atfal and Khuddam, they prevented the bomber from detonating his bomb, saving dozens of lives.  Another Khadim made a video in the most tense of situations, which now stands as a beacon of proof that Muslims who believe in the Messiah will always remain faithful to their Lord.  

These young Khuddam maintained their allegiance to Allah and His Prophet (sa).  They maintained their allegiance to His Messiah (as) and His Khalifa (aba).  They demonstrated in one loud voice that we will not let your hatred for mankind surpass our love for mankind!  

For this, today and every day, we salute and honor you, Khuddammal Ahmadiyya Pakistan.  Your leadership, resolve, dedication, and integrity are shining proof of the truth of one Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (sa).  You are shining proof of the truth of one Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as).  

It is you whom we will look towards as the defining example, for all of our lives.  Oh Khuddamal Ahmadiyya Pakistan, you have evidenced beyond any doubt that the Islam of Jamaat Ahmadiyya today is the same peaceful Islam of Jammat Muhammadiyya 1400 years ago.

Congratulations to you for fulfilling this pledge.  Congratulations to you for upholding the truth of Islam in a nation that has become completely devoid of the meaning of true Islam.

May Allah enable all of Khuddamal Ahmadiyya the world over to follow your lead.  May Allah bless you for your continued sacrifice, and continually protect you from harm, insha’allah.  All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.
