The ‘Rising Star’ for July is Bilal Mian from Oshkosh Majlis.  He is 11 years old and soon to start the sixth grade.  He is active both at school and in the Jama’at.  He is a good student and has aspirations of becoming a scientist, Inshallah.

Shahzeb Kahlon of the Houston-North Majlis is the Rising Star for the month of March.  Shahzeb, age 9, is in the third grade.  He’s an avid learner, an honor-roll student and loves mathematics.  He enjoys playing various sports, from football and baseball with his siblings to video games such as Madden ’10.  He has won many awards for sportsmanship and received eight awards at the most recent local Ijtema.  Shahzeb has aspirations to become a pediatrician, Insha’Allah.

February 2011 - Wajih Khan

Wajih Khan, son of Dr. Jariullah Khan, who is an active member locally and regionally, is a member of the Dallas Jama'at. He is a young Tifl excited whenever he is at the mosque. He is a nine year old Tifl who is not only very mobile in jama'at activities, but very versatile in many other aspects.

January 2011 - Abdellah Fytahi

The Rising Star of Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya USA for the month of January is 11 year old Abdellah Fytahi of Indiana Majlis. MashAllah, this young tifl has all the characteristics of a Rising Star. Abdellah was born in Morocco and his family accepted Ahmadiyyat in 2009.

December 2010 - Yasir Ahmad Qureshi

Yasir Ahmad Qureshi, who turned 9 in May, is a member of the Boston Majlis.  He was born in Oklahoma. Yasir attends fourth grade and completed the Holy Qur’an at the age of 7.  He is diligent in his school work, and attends Atfal classes in Boston regularly. His father's name is Hisham Ahmad Qureshi who was Qaid for MKA Boston majlis till 2008 and currently serving as General Secretary of Boston Jama'at.

Mustapha Trawalley, son of  Saarjo Trawalley Sahib, was born in the year 1997 in Gambia, Africa. His parents migrated to the U.S when he was five years of age. He is a brilliant Tifl and an intelligent learner.

Countless members of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya recite this pledge numerous times a year.  Countless readily sacrifice their wealth and time for the sake of their faith, country and nation.  But a chosen few are tested with the opportunity to sacrifice their honor.  Even fewer are tried with the ultimate sacrifice, their lives.

It is with a very heavy heart that Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya USA informs everyone that a young Tifl from Philadelphia Majlis, Shuhob Ihtesham Janjua, passed away after being in a fatal automobile accident. Shuhob passed away at 9PM EST on April 1^st, 2010. اِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَاِنَّـآ اِلَيْهِ رٰجِعُوْنَ (Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return).

This month’s rising star is thirteen year-old Rashad Khan, son of Majid Khan Sahib, from the Los Angeles Inland Empire Majlis. This aspiring tifil is an excellent example for us all to be the best we can in all of our endeavors.

This month’s Rising Star is Sultan Munawar, son of Munir Munawar, from Houston, Texas is this month’s Rising Star. Sultan is a 15 year-old with big dreams as he plans to become an aerospace engineer. He is already working hard to make this dream a reality by giving his best in school and constantly studying.
