Carrying the torch of the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw), Rising Stars of Ahmadiyyat illuminate our present and brightens our future. One such tifl modeling the innate qualities of a true Ahmadi is 13 year old Ismail Ahmad, son of Tanvir and Sadiqa Latif Ahmad, of Chicago West Jama’at.
Ismail Ahmad is currently a seventh grader at Gregory Middle School in Naperville, Illinois, where he is a straight A student. Ismail is active in many sports, such as soccer, cross country, and more. Through sheer blessings of Allah, Ismail has always been selected for various honorary awards by his school’s faculty every year. Corresponding with the Rising Star of the Jama’at, Ismail has been recognized as a S.T.A.R. Student of Gregory Middle School. In his spare time, he likes to play chess with his brother, Subhaan, and likes to develop websites. He also finds time to work with the Jama’at IT Secretary on Jama’at projects and events.
Ismail wants to become a computer scientist when he grows up and has a great passion for animals. His previous pets include bald pythons, chickens, ducks, frogs, and cats. He also volunteers in a health care center for medically fragile children.
Ismail rarely misses a Jama’at event and is an active participant in all local and regional Atfal programs. He has won 1st place in speech competitions at the National Ijtema two years in a row. He fluently speaks Pushto and according to the wishes of our beloved Hazoor, Ismail is currently learning Urdu and Qur’an with Tajweed. Whether it’s a sporting event or a family outing, Ismail is always diligent in saying his prayers and reciting the Holy Qur’an regularly. According to Ismail, It is so much fun to be an Ahmadi Muslim because it makes life organized and stress free.
May Allah make Ismail a true star of Ahmadiyyat and enable him to follow the footsteps of his great-grandfather Hadhrat Sahibzada Abdul Latif (ra), Ameen!
