Shujah Sial, May 2009
Seattle Majlis
This month’s rising star is Shujah Sial of Seattle Majlis. This eleven-year old gem of a person is a very active and well-known tifl. What is particularly special about Shujah is the immense amount of effort and positive attitude with which he approaches all of the activities that he is involved in - whether it is Jamaat activities, school, or sports. He is truly is driven to become the best he possibly can. Shujah is a friend to all and a young star in his local Majlis; He is a rising star in Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya.
Both his elders and peers look upon Shujah as a role model. Despite his young age, older children both trust and respect Shujah. He has a strong connection with the jamaat, which keeps him grounded and is a source of happiness for him. Since he was a young boy, his parents instilled in him such a love for the jamaat, and since then, Shujah goes to the Masjid as often as he can.
Currently Shujah attends Lynnwood Elementary School where he enjoys all of the subjects that he studies. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with his friends and playing sports. Furthermore, Shujah is also very interested in Ahmadiyyat and its history. During the Seattle Khilafat Centenary celebrations he recited a speech about the life of the Second Khalifa. At every Jamaat meeting, Shujah can be seen helping not only the Men's side, but also the Ladies' side. In 2007, he placed 2nd in Tilawat (Recitation of the Holy Quran) at the 21st Annual West Coast Ijtema.
May this rising star continue to achieve, and continue to find happiness through the Jamaat. And may he become successful in his aspiration to become a lawyer one day, InshAllah. Ameen
