No profanity, sarcasm, negativity and humor in bad taste (tasteful humor is encouraged!) 6. Content should be 100% accurate 7. Realize that every attack on Islam is actually also an attack on the character of Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) (2) Contemporary topics should be emphasized that connect to all age groups, but particularly to the youth. (3) Refrain from political issues (4) It is highly recommended that transcripts of a delicate nature be reviewed by the Qaid of your Majlis ahead of time. (5) Any types of negativity, profanity, humor in bad taste, or sarcasm are not appropriate. |

| WRITE YOUR SCRIPT When making a video, it’s the pre-production work that makes a good end product. The more time you spend planning before you use the camera, the less time you will waste. A script should be written for your audience to hear, not read. Keep it simple with familiar words and phrases. Ideally, the talent on screen should speak without reading or memorizing the material. All videos must end with the phrase “I know all this because I’m a Muslim who believes in the Messiah” GATHER PICTURES Using pictures or video as cutaway shots can make a video visually interesting. However it is important to make sure the pictures you are using are copyright free. It is also smart to document where each picture in your video was obtained from. Some sample places you can get copyright free pictures include:

Now that you have your script, you are ready to shoot. When shooting video for later editing, the most important thing to remember is to put five seconds of throw away video before and after each shot. In other words, start the tape rolling, wait five seconds, and then start the action you want to see on the finished tape. At the end of each shot add five seconds of video. Those added seconds serve as slop room for your edits.
